Hip Hop Beats URL

January 31, 2010

Testing a new URL at HipHopBeats.us and the year is 2010, lol. Not sure what i’ll do with it. Maybe after i make my electronic music i’ll cool off by making beats. Perhaps i’ll buy a new drum machine just for making the content. Oh well, future investment either way.

iamamiwhoami

January 27, 2010

Whoever iamamiwhoami is they aint hip hop, lol. people say it sounds like this or that but whatever. i’d be surprised if it’s an unsigned artist.

Considering making 500 bass samples.

Hip Hop Drums

July 7, 2009

Hip Hop Drum Samples for making beats. Hundreds of them. Some bass samples and dj samples too. All in WAV file format. :)

Read a horror story about one of the big drum plugins that turned me off to sound plugins for good i think. Basically on the forum for the plugin when the new Windows OS came out they had to wait like 4-6 months for the patch. That means NO beat making for that time. I’m not going to go through that. I’m sticking to drum samples in WAV format. I’d rather have a big library of WAV sounds then have the sounds hostage in a VST.

FYI

April 22, 2009

Battery 3 is on sale on the NI website for only $99 bucks.

From now until the end of May (i think).

125 Bass Loops

Make Hip Hop Beats

February 10, 2009

Motu now has BPM software for making hip hop beats. Costs around $300 bucks. Looks cool. The audio production of beats has just changed. NI has the new Mashine too. I wonder if Cakewalk will make a beats only type of software.

808 Drum Samples

September 26, 2008

I bet alot of people will be searching for 808 drum machine samples when Kanye West’s new album called 808’s & Heartbreak drops. Seems like all the young producers talk about online is… how does Dr Dre make his beats, how does Timbaland make his beats and how does Kanye make his beats? LOL. They should be more concerned about how to make their own beats and care less what someone else is doing and how they go about doing things.

808 drum samples are owned by Roland/Cakewalk. They like to have some 808 sounds in their software like Kinetic. I wonder if the new SONAR will be loaded with them. CakeWalk would be smart to do so. It would be crazy if SONAR had a built in full 808 and 909 drum machine within the program. I think it’s weird that they don’t already have all of the past drum machines made into software drum machines for people to download and buy.

Update…
…and now with that new Black Eyed Peas song Boom Bom Pow i’m sure new producers will be searching online for them 808 drum samples. They are all over the internet. Google is your friend.

Michael Phelps Headphones

September 14, 2008

During the MTV VMA 2008 Michael Phelps walked out wearing headphones and i think they were the Beats by Dr Dre headphones. I wonder how much he got paid to wear them.

Making Hip Hop Beats with Guru

August 8, 2008

I finally downloaded the Guru demo. It’s great! Easy to use. I used it in stand alone mode and i don’t like that it didn’t open to a full window but i guess they want you really to use it as a plugin. The tweaking of the one-shot beats was real easy. The full version comes with many more sounds. It cost 250 bucks but for the ease of use its worth it i think.

Make a Hip Hop Beat

March 8, 2008

All of my beats and samples are on one page. [ link ] 1,000 (one-shot) drum samples. No pre-made loops. All beats are WAV stuffed in Zip files for quicker downloading. I still have some snare drums to make/edit.

In other blah blah blah… i saw online Dr. Dre has designed a pair of headphones called “Beats”. They cost 400 bucks i think. Also i saw that Akai has a new drum machine that cost 300 bucks.
